Privacy Policy
The short version
- There are no accounts and no servers of our own. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location.
- Your progress is saved on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud. We cannot see it.
- The games show optional rewarded ads from Google AdMob, only when you tap an “Ad” button. Google processes some device data to show and measure those ads. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent first, and iOS asks whether the game may track you. You can say no and still play.
- Leaderboards and achievements use Apple’s Game Center; purchases (Whisker Survivors only) are handled by Apple.
- There are no analytics or crash-reporting tools of our own in the games.
1. Who is responsible
The games are made by Andrius Bertasius, an independent developer based in Lithuania (EU) (“we”, “us”). For the data processing we decide on, we are the controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can reach us at games@anbe.lt.
Google and Apple are responsible for the processing they do in their own services (see sections 3 and 4).
2. What data is processed and why
| What | Where it lives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress and settings (levels, in-game currencies, unlocks, sound and vibration settings, your ad-consent answer, and in Whisker Survivors a record of your purchases) | On your device (the game’s local storage) and, if iCloud is on, in your iCloud account | To save your game and bring it back on a reinstall or on your other devices |
| Device advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking), app-specific identifiers, IP address and the rough location derived from it, device and OS type, ad interactions, ad-related diagnostics | Collected by Google’s AdMob software in the game and sent to Google | To show rewarded ads you ask for, measure them, cap how often you see them and prevent ad fraud; personalised ads only with your consent |
| Game Center player identity, nickname, scores and achievements | Apple’s Game Center | Leaderboards and achievements, if you are signed in to Game Center |
| Purchase and payment details (Whisker Survivors) | Apple’s App Store; the game keeps only the product and a transaction number in your save | To deliver what you bought, restore it and handle refunds |
| Your email address and what you write to us | Our email inbox | To answer your support request |
Things the games do not do: no sign-up or account, no access to your location services, contacts, photos, camera or microphone, no third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, no chat or user-generated content, no selling of your data by us. Vibration (haptics) and sound are handled on the device only.
We do not receive your personal data from Google or Apple. We only see aggregated reports (for example, total ad earnings or number of downloads and sales), which do not identify you.
3. Ads (Google AdMob)
All three games can show rewarded video ads, provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA and Switzerland, Google LLC elsewhere). An ad is only loaded when you tap a button marked “Ad” to get an optional in-game reward. There are no banner or forced ads.
- Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland). On first launch the game shows Google’s consent message (Google’s User Messaging Platform). You can consent, manage your options or refuse. If you refuse, Google may still show non-personalised or limited ads, which use less data.
- Tracking (iOS). After that, iOS asks whether the game may track your activity (App Tracking Transparency). The IDFA is shared with Google only if you tap “Allow”. You can change this at any time in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking (Apple’s help page).
- Ad-free pass. In Whisker Survivors, players who own the Ad-free pass get the rewards without ads; then the game does not start AdMob at all, and no consent message or tracking prompt is shown.
For personalised advertising and ad measurement Google acts as an independent controller (Google Ads Controller-Controller Data Protection Terms). Please read:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
- How Google uses data for advertising
Test versions of the games (for example TestFlight builds) show Google’s test ads only.
4. Apple services
- iCloud. If you are signed in to iCloud and iCloud is on for the game, a copy of your save is stored in your iCloud account (Apple’s iCloud key-value storage) so it can sync between your devices with the same Apple Account. Only the game on your devices can read it; we have no access.
- Game Center. If you are signed in to Game Center, your scores and achievements are sent to Apple and shown to you and, depending on your Game Center settings, to other players. See Game Center & Privacy.
- In-app purchases (Whisker Survivors). Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). We never see your payment card or Apple Account details. See App Store & Privacy.
Apple is responsible for these services under the Apple Privacy Policy.
5. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): saving your game, iCloud sync, Game Center features you turn on, and delivering and restoring purchases – this is what you need to play the game you downloaded.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): personalised ads, and storing or reading information on your device for advertising where consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time (section 8); this does not affect processing before the withdrawal.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): showing non-personalised or limited ads, ad measurement and fraud prevention where the law allows it without consent – our interest is to keep the games free to play; answering your emails and defending legal claims.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): keeping records where the law requires it.
6. How long data is kept
- Saves on your device: until you delete the game (or, in Idle Crypt, use Reset progress).
- iCloud copy: until you delete it from iCloud (section 9) or reset progress in Idle Crypt.
- Game Center data and purchase history: kept by Apple under Apple’s policies.
- Ad data: kept by Google under Google’s policies (see the links above).
- Support emails: as long as needed to help you, then deleted within 12 months, unless we must keep them longer for a legal claim.
7. International transfers
Google and Apple may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. They rely on safeguards recognised by the GDPR, such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Details are in their privacy policies linked above.
8. Your rights and choices
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable form, and withdraw consent at any time. Because we hold almost no data about you ourselves, most of these are exercised directly on your device or with Google and Apple:
- Change your ad consent: in the game open Settings > Ads privacy > Privacy choices (shown where Google’s consent rules apply, such as the EEA and UK).
- Stop tracking: iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, turn the game off (or turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track”).
- Game Center: manage or sign out in iPhone Settings > Game Center.
- Data held by Google or Apple: use their privacy tools, linked in sections 3 and 4.
- Anything else: email games@anbe.lt. We reply within one month.
You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example in the country where you live, or in Lithuania to the State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija).
9. Deleting your data
- On your device: delete the game from your iPhone or iPad. This removes the saved progress on that device.
- In iCloud: deleting the game does not remove its iCloud copy (that is how progress comes back on reinstall). To remove it, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage (on newer iOS: Manage Account Storage), choose the game if it is listed and delete its data (Apple’s help page). In Idle Crypt you can also use Settings > Reset progress in the game, which erases the iCloud copy too.
- Game Center: scores and achievements are kept by Apple; you can manage them in Settings > Game Center or contact Apple.
- Emails: ask us at games@anbe.lt and we will delete our correspondence.
We cannot delete or restore your saves for you, because we never receive them.
10. Children
The games are made for a general audience and are suitable for players aged about 8 and up. They are not directed primarily at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children ourselves.
If you are under the age at which you can give your own consent to data processing where you live (in Lithuania 14; in other EU countries between 13 and 16), please ask a parent or guardian before answering the consent message and the tracking prompt. Parents can:
- choose “Do not consent” or “Manage options” in the consent message, or change it later under Privacy choices;
- turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track” on the child’s device;
- use Apple’s Screen Time and Ask to Buy to control in-app purchases.
If you believe a child has sent us personal data (for example by email), contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If the games start processing data in a new way, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Important changes will also be mentioned in the app update notes.
